Qurbani

Spread Hope & Happiness This Eid al Adha
Qurbani is a religious obligation commemorating the ultimate sacrifice performed by Prophet Ibrahim A.S. It reminds one of how Allah S.W.T rewards an individual for their unflinching faith.
Muslims Giving Back perform Qurbani on your behalf, providing nourishing meals and packs of raw meat to low income neighborhoods. Your contributions will help impoverished families enjoy a celebratory meal on the blessed occasion.
During the past year we were able to serve at least 10 lbs of meat to over 800 families in need throughout NYC. Many of the families that we serve are immigrants who are located in low income neighborhoods and or are recently arrived migrants who do not have access to sufficient resources.
With the support of the generous donors we were able to not only provide them with Qurbani meat but essential pantry items so that they may prepare a well rounded meal for their family.
Your Qurbani contributions also support our Hunger Truck initiative, a source of nourishing meals for the most vulnerable individuals on the streets.

“There is nothing dearer to Allah during the days of Qurbani than the sacrificing of animals. The sacrificed animal shall come on the Day of Resurrection with its horns, hair, and hooves (to be weighed on a person’s good deeds). The sacrifice is accepted by Allah before the blood reaches the ground. Therefore, sacrifice with an open and happy heart.”
Tirmidhi
